Sig P238

Picked it up this past week at Freestate and went back there today to break her in. Cleaned and lubed prior to the range trip.

Fired 200 rounds of Winchester white box. Shot it fast...shot it slow. Shot full mags.... partial mags. Flawless.

It was pretty filthy after about 150 rounds but kept on going without any problems.

For me, it's more about the sights and the snaglessness of the SAS. In actual operation, not much difference. Although, the slabby feel of the grips on the two-tone is pretty different from the wood... but I'm not sure I'd be quick to say it's a problem.

That Diamondplate is strange. Neat looking, but strange.

Just a reminder, Colt Mustang and Colt 380 mags work in the P238. Several parts are interchangable. I replaced my plastic trigger with an aluminum Mustang trigger. I also have a stainless steel trigger I've been holding on to.

For a two inch barrel, not phenomenal, it's a close up and personal handgun. I do fairly well at twenty feet, my 10 year old granddaughter does better .

A man sized target at twenty feet is a pretty big target.

I put a set of VZ grips on my 238 and it handles better for me,I picked up a newRuger LC9 the last time i was in Jax and it is a hot number,but still carry the Sig when in Fl.
