Yeah but then since its altered then would you be forced to add several more us parts to make it compliant after changing to a us mag

Ok, but if the mag is three

add a muzzle break and thats 4, so just swap out two more parts? trigger and hammer. and your done...

The 922r language presented a list of 20 parts that applied to ALL semi-automatic assault rifles (not just the AK-47 series) made from imported parts sets or kits. For the AK-47, 16 parts apply. The following is a list of those parts, also referred to as "compliance parts."

    1. Barrel
    2. Receiver
    3. Front and Rear Trunions (Applies to stamped receivers only)
    4. Bolt Carrier
    5. Bolt
    6. Gas Piston
    7. Buttstock
    8. Pistol Grip
    9. Upper and Lower Handguards (Both count as 1 part)
    10. Muzzle Device
    11. Hammer
    12. Trigger
    13. Disconnector
    14. Magazine Body
    15. Magazine Follower
    16. Magazine Floorplate

You may choose replacement parts from the list as desired. The point being that a maximum of 10 imported parts from this list may be used to build an AK rifle. The bottom line is that you must use 6 US made parts

So it would be true that if I change the stock magazine then I would then have to change other parts to be compliant? I just wanna be sure...

I feel like gun ownership makes you so paranoid to break a law.. I dont wanna break any laws cuz im afraid to lose my guns... gun ownership itself is a crime deterent

It's my understanding that if you want to run any mag higher than the factory 5 rounder(SGM mags), then you have to change the parts for 922r. What I did with my Vepr 12, if it helps, was change the handguards, trigger, gas puc, grip, muzzle device, and recoil spring. All from CSS, arrived 2 days after ordered. With the US mag, I don't doubt I should be compliant

Vepr 12's are much more of a nicer configuration. I bought the Vepr12 for 799.00+ transfer the way you see it

If you bought a S12, you have to convert it to have it look like that, then spend 125-200 for a stock like that, then another 50 for the rear adjustable sight. spend money for a top rail system, spend money for the bolt hold open feature etc.. the Vepr is a GREAT buy

Need to get better pics of these two. Meet "Sarah Jessica" and "Mary Louise." Sarah is up top. She's a 28-ga. "Mary Louise," the bottom one, is a 20-ga and is currently my favorite shotgun in the herd.

They're both DHE-grade "Parker Reproductions by Winchester." The Old Man hung them over my head and taunted me with them for years, then finally, out of the blue, told me to come pick 'em up - they were mine now. Bittersweet, because, at that moment, I knew that he figured he was probably gonna die soon. :(

Bittersweet for sure, but a very nice pair indeed! Sarah is built for looks (her stock is gorgeous), and Mary Louise is built for speed. :)

The Old Man gave me this one several years ago after he tired of it (he tired of it when I told him the trigger guard was plastic, not horn like he thought). Great gun, except for the fact that the plastic trigger guard is broken.... I've often wondered WTF a relatively high quality shotgun like this would have a plastic trigger guard - wacky Germans. If anyone knows where I can get a replacement, I be much obliged :)

New Vepr 12, 25 round high capacity polymer magazines are completely manufactured in the USA.
Springs are coated for rust protection.

    Very well made reliable magazines.
One mag counts as 3-922R compliant parts.

I finally finished break-in of my VEPR 12 a couple months ago. The brutality of the 3" magnums (on my shoulder) was well worth the result.

I have a few of the 12 round VEPR mags. I can only imagine the weight of that drum. The link you gave shows:

"This product has not been released yet and we do not have an estimated arrival date. "
