just read every page of this thread. Thank you all so much and I am so sorry I could not be there. Unfortunately, I won't make it on Tuesday either as I have a co-worker coming from out of town for some meetings. This is the first one that I have missed in 3 years. It is a great way to test out if you are a heart attack candidate. Seeing all of those Reps not paying attention to the testimony drove me nuts. Great job to all involved!

And a special thanks to DC-W for doing double duty: expert witness at the hearings , and high speed transcriber on this thread.

That's a lot of work. We salute you!

    Ugh.

MSP says that's not good enough for being able to protect himself and his family in public.

That'd be me. I documented those events in my testimony for FSA2013. The perp in the third incident was caught, and my willingness to testify against him motivated his plea bargain and incarceration. I was asked by the Assistant DA "You own a gun, right?" because she and the MoCo Sheriff said there was a 50% chance he would come after me when he was released. MSP doesn't consider that an "active threat," and said my experiences were not exceptional relative to those of average people.

Just got home and got the kiddies to bed.

Rack, you rock. Thank you for providing the logistics support for the rally this morning. I particularly enjoyed holding the "Liberty is not a Loophole" sign in Baron von Frosh's sight-line as he attempted to slink past us.

Excellent job by everyone testifying. We consistently out-numbered the opposition by 4-8x. I'll admit it was tough to condense something coherent into the 2-minute allotment, but I know we did better than the Red Shirt Brigade and their scripted talking points. I was tempted to play buzzword-bingo during their testimony.

I sometimes find new Heroes on this site from time to time and I'm not is the least hesitant to mention that.

Today I found many more Heroes & Heroines and I pale in comparison to them.

Kudos and Standing Applause to these brave and well spoken patriots.

What was the name of the guy who shot the girl with the black powder revolver? We need that, his crime history, and the time served.
    Could probably also get:
    - Murders committed with long guns
    - How many were properly owned (in other words, not stolen)

Best factoid that came out today was from Daniel Webster, in 2016 in Baltimore 76% of the sentences of repeat gun offenders were suspended.

Yup Jaybeez, I just found out the guy who broke into my house in 2012 and who got a 10 year sentence with 3.5 years suspended, is now a free man walking the streets after 3+ years of that 6.5 year term.

What a frigging crock!!! I am getting on the phone tomorrow to find out just why was I not notified of any change in his status and why I was not notified I'd be able to testify AGAINST any early release like I was after they had a parole review during year 1 of his incarceration in Hagerstown.

    I am one Pisssed Victim.

Today was filled with tremendous testimony and priceless camaraderie. Thank you all so much for your time and insight and representing us all so well in Annapolis.

Let's do it again on Tuesday, March 14th in the House Judicial Proceedings Committee!

Best statement of the night came from Silent Partner on the drafter of the long gun bill, and the suggestion he should be in a rubber room eating crayons LOL.

Danny your fingers must be tired - thanks man!

A hearty thank you to everyone I had the privilege of standing next to in the fight for our rights. Thank you to everyone that submits written testimony and emails their legislators.
Please remember this is only the first cannon fired this year in the fight for freedom. If you watched the testimony and agree with certain points call your representative and remind them. Only takes 5 minutes.
And shoot an email if you where there to thank the committee for at least being present.

Has someone testified that until the laws that are on book NOW are followed, no additional laws are going to matter. If the laws in the books now were followed, there would be no need for additional laws.

Sorry if I'm late to the party.

This was my point about the convicted criminals who broke into my houses twice yet still live down the street and the original one is no longer an inmate as I just found out tonight and Mopar's earlier and Shannon's and even a couple Senators.

The revolving door has to stop or else put a bullet in the back of some skulls

    Plus,
Bricker was sentenced..... 10/20/2016 COURT (DUGAN, J.) SENTENCES THE DEFENDANT TO COUNT #1 - LIFE DOC WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE WITH 507 DAYS CREDIT FOR TIME SERVED; NO PROBATION IMPOSED; COURT COSTS WAIVED.
Bricker 10/24/2016 Filed, DEFENDANT'S MOTION FOR RECONSIDERATION OF SENTENCE
Final by 02/28/2016 ORDER OF COURT (DUGAN, J.) DENYING DEFENDANT'S MOTION TO RECONSIDER SENTENCE WITHOUT A HEARING, ENTERED.

So life it is, for now. How do you credit 507 days of a life sentence?

It would be interesting to see if these people being let off easy had similar attorneys? (no offense meant towards the attorneys) You know ... just in case ... MD is dangerous for a person who shoots firearms as a hobby ... 6,000 laws (and still counting) that could result in loss of 2A rights wow.
I am not sure I could have sat there and not heckled the inconsistencies and repetition in the pink shirt testimonies, kudos to y'alls patience!

IIRC Mopar mentioned the crayon diet too.?

Is there another day to be there, or is this it. I saw on the news the HPRB Bill was front and center in the piece. It is ironic a group championing stifling rights, were afforded them under the 19th amendment. No good deed goes unpunished.
