Screen captures of our first panel (“the suits”) testifying earlier today against SB646, the Firearm Storage Requirements bill; the new NRA rep is seated at far right.

Mark Pennak (MSI), Mike Doherty (MSPRA), and John Josselyn (Mt. Washington R&G Club) answering a question about locking up ammunition instead of firearms from Senator Young:

Every dealer in the state needs to show up tomorrow. Even if that means they close for a day. No sale tomorrow is worth allowing this to pass.

Why? It's going to pass...no question..They would be better served if ALL told them to F off and not comply....

Of course that will never happen...after all, gun owners and sellers are all law abiding...even if the law is tyrannical...

Screen captures of our second panel opposing the bill.

First pic, knovotny; second pic, art3.

Third pic, a 12-year old girl whose gunsmith father (seated at witness table, left) has trained her to use firearms.

She testified very articulately that she should be allowed to defend her own life against intruders when home alone:

Of the 19 or so anti-gun bills proposed last year, how many made it into law (I'll even accept 2020 veto overrides of 2019 bills)? Asking for a friend.....

Did you see Del. Kurt Anderson withdraw his magazine capacity bill 2 yrs ago while under withering enfilade attack from witnesses who made the effort to show up and tell lawmakers what they thought?

Testimony CAN AND DOES influence legislation. Folks who can testify but dont ought to at least not try to dissuade others or belittle their efforts. Everyone has a family, a job, a disability, or some other reason that makes it a hardship to get to Annapolis to testify. I use about a week of vacation every year because my rights are too important to me to just bend over and take what the naysayers say is coming. If more people did that, Lawyers Mall could more closely resemble the recent turnout in Richmond. Folks who choose to do nothing deserve what they get. If my rights are eventually eroded or lost, at least my conscience will be clear.

The comparison between the quality of the testimony offered by the proponents of this bill vs. our friends opposing it is stark. I guess that's no surprise. Everyone who stuck it out in Annapolis this evening are appreciated more than you know.

    Yeah, sorry, my bad!
