Rut 2013

The blood was bright red and yea, the arrow stank. I was talking to one of the guys at work and he said if I'd of waited a couple hrs more he probly would of laid down and bled out-I was pushing him.

yeah when I was new to bow hunting my first doe was a gut shot...the gut actually clotted the hole...I chased her around for a few hours and trespassed too much so I ended up letting her go. As I didn't want to get shot or turn in to the cops..

Hunted last night and all day today. In total saw 6 bucks 1-8 pointer, 4-spikes, 1-4pointer and two does. Took a shot at te eight pointer but my string hit my coat sleeve and the arrow went high.

No sign of anything at all yesterday afternoon, then I almost hit a spike chasing a doe when I went to the store just after I came in lol.

My daughter and I saw some obvious chasing going on Saturday afternoon, in fact it was some of the coolest hunting I've been privledged to. We ended up taking a spkie, it was her choice. She passed on the others, my kid has different logic when selecting what she wants to harvest lol.

Didn't have my binoculars tonight (doh!) so I don't have accurate point counts, but had a decent buck chasing does about 200-250 yards away from me tonight. Also had a 4-6 pointer pass me about 75 yards away. He didn't seem to be excited and didn't respond to my call.

Hereford/Sparks/Glencoe:

Watched two Does feeding in a field last evening for about a half an hour.

No Bucks came out to say "Hello".
