Well took it out yesterday and it shot without issue. Clean breaking trigger and sighted in quite well with good groupings (for me) at about 3 inches at 10 yards. My friend Bobby (baddevildog on the board) is a very good shot had them down to about 1 inch grouping from the same distance with 5 shots. All in all I am quite pleased that Ruger made it right even though it took 12 weeks.

Thanks, the RO states they repaired: Barrel,Cylinder, Ejector Rod,Crane,CYC Rel Button.
They replaced the Crane Pivot Latch and Internal Components, did a safety function test and test firing. So it looks like they rebuilt the whole revolver.

Honestly that is what they need to do for their customer base to keep them happy, and to keep them as customers. From what you two (Smokering and donmega334) are saying is Ruger came through for their customers and did maybe more than what they actually had to do.

And if you think about it (I used to be in repair myself, but not on guns) most of the time Gunsmiths/Repair Personel have about as much time as they need to get the job done right. So you now have a Custom Built Revolver for the price of a Mass Produced Revolver.

Couldn't be happier for you guys.

I ran into this thread after doing some more research on a first revolver. The wife was immediately "scared off" by the weight of a GP100, so it appears that a SP101 snubby is going to be the way to go here. I'm glad to here that Ruger eventually made things right with the OP's problem, even if it did take them 10 weeks to do so. That barrel twist was freaky looking.
