Can anyone recommend a good trigger set up for a Ruger LC9 or a smith that can provide a good trigger for one of my favorite carry guns? Anyone have first hand experience with the Galloway Precision trigger set up? Does it make the trigger too sensitive for carry?

For a defensive carry gun, I would recommend keeping it stock.

    This.

An after market trigger may be "nice" to shoot, but not as trustworthy as a stock trigger when it comes down to your life. When you take that defensive shot, you are not going to notice or care about how smooth the trigger is.

Isn't there a new LC9 with a striker fired trigger? Maybe you could make a swap?

Here's my take on it, after owning the LC9.

I could never get used to it. I shot it like crap at the range. Loved the size of the gun, etc., but hated the trigger.

What I did do was sell it and then head out to purchase something else. After trying out several guns, I found a good used Ruger SR9c on sale, and fell in love.

Now here is what's amazing to me... other that that it's not something I can keep in a pocket (I could pocket the LC9), I found that, with the same Remora holster, the SR9c was actually EASIER to carry than the LC9. Go figure. It makes little sense that the slightly larger/heavier SR9c would be EASIER to carry, right? I am guessing it has to do with weight and how the Remora works.

In any case, I absolutely love the SR9c, and am so glad I dumped the LC9 for it. Awesome trigger, far more capacity, and far easier to shoot.

My suggestion -- trade the LC9 for an SR9c. Get a Remora, Aliengear, or Little Foxx holster for it. You'll be glad you did.

I recommend the Scarface/South Park drill.
Unload firearm. No really make double damn sure it's unloaded. Play either Scarface (the Al Pacino version) or Southpark bigger longer uncut.
Rack slide and press trigger at each curse word.
    Finish first movie.
    Pop in second movie.
Repeat drill but acquire a sight picture on the character cursing.
Lubricate gun and enjoy greatly improved trigger.

I do this with AR-15s and Black Hawk Down aiming at the bad guys.

I agree about keeping the LC9 in it's stock configuration...it took me awhile to become proficient with mine but the practice was well worth it and it didn't take long to be able to put the rounds where they belonged. If you don't like the hammer fired, long trigger pull and are unwilling to like the LC9, get the striker fired LC9s. My understanding is it is much easier to shoot and easier to like. I like my LC9 as is but won't say no to the new s model.

That's silly. Ignore all the facts in a justified shooting and get convicted because of a trigger. Show me one case where this happened.....
