I purchased mine from Lou45 just before the ban.

How are they banned? I checked MSP's website and didn't see it there and it shares almost zero parts with an AK. Are they listed under a manufacturer that I'm missing?

I thought Duffys was selling M77s, a better gun overall and easily tweaked to be PSL like.

Call Duffy's. They have transferred a few things for me that others didn't take the time to research.

    Search "Romarm/Cugir"

Remember that thanks to Nate at Engage, the "list" is officially non-binding and is not law.

The biggest difficulty in getting a PSL is finding one for a price that doesn't exceed a Vepr which many feel to be superior. Oh, and mags are $50-60 each.

There a dealers that will do the transfer if you can find one.

Neither are listed as manufactures on the MSP list.

It has nothing in common with the Dragunov outside of the round it fires.

Correct and almost correct. It shares the scope mounting rail.

    Duffys sells PSL's.

Other FFL's are afraid the PSL is banned under "AK action" In fact the only part that will interchange between an AK and a PSL is the trigger itself, and then only if it is a single hook trigger. The double hook AK trigger will not function in a PSL.

I also purchased {before the ban} my Romanian PSL from Lou45 also.

The main difference between the PSL and the Dragunov...is that the PSL has a long piston, compared to the more accurate short piston Dragunov.

I don't know if there is any evidence that the SKS type short stroke piston action is more accurate than the long AK action

My scoped Chinese SKS, on the whole, seems to be more accurate than my long piston AK's --- Though the PSL, with the 7.62x54R cartridge, has a longer range potential than the 7.62x39.

After someone showed MSPLD that you couldn't swap parts between an AK and a PSL it wasn't even "regulated" .
