How are they banned? I checked MSP's website and didn't see it there and it shares almost zero parts with an AK. Are they listed under a manufacturer that I'm missing?

Ain't that a clone of a Dragunov?
Neither are listed as manufactures on the MSP list.
It has nothing in common with the Dragunov outside of the round it fires.
I also purchased {before the ban} my Romanian PSL from Lou45 also.
The main difference between the PSL and the Dragunov...is that the PSL has a long piston, compared to the more accurate short piston Dragunov.

I don't know if there is any evidence that the SKS type short stroke piston action is more accurate than the long AK action
Is it still banned ?I'm sorry to say...No, the PSL is not legal to buy here in Maryland, since the ban went into effect --- Though I was fortunate enough to buy one, just before the ban. It is a beast.
