"Forty-eight years in public service has been the best years of my life, but also the most draining," said Robey.

I would imagine that those 'draining' SB281 sessions having to listen to us 'gun nutz' cut into his senior slumber time.

YES! Don't let the door hit you on the way out! I'm in District 13 and I say GOOD RIDDANCE! Why didn't he do this BEFORE the session started. Despite all the "good" he says he's done, his stance on SB281 shows he is no friend to the 2A.

Perhaps we can get a pro-2A DINO on the ticket for the Senate...

Now we can concentrate on Guzzone, Pendergrass, and Turner.

    Public Service....what a stupid term.
He has a Frosh-like repulsiveness about him.

And some will say during his career, he has taken as much of your money as he possibly can and is a gun grabbing socialist. Good Riddance!!! Bobo isn't running again either. Both of these gems are my representatives and were cosponsors of the governors gun grabbing and tax raising bills. Neither one of them ever met a tax or expensive program they wouldn't vote for. They taxed: gas, wind, rain, income, you name it, they taxed it; all for the greater good. They didn't care a lick that they were taking money from the people they represented. There isn't a lot of difference between them and the guy who tried to rob me, except they will rob me, my neighbors, my children and grand children for the rest of our lives by raising our taxes and fees every chance they had.

Neither one of them would ever respond to correspondence or talk to a constituent who didn't agree with their point of view.

Howard County is so much safer now? Really? There was very little crime in Howard County before these two took office. It has gone up significantly during their tenure. There have been robberies/muggings, home invasions and a recent car jacking in my end of town in the past year. He leaves quite a legacy! What scares me is they will try to find a younger clone to replace them.

Robey always was a prick. Good riddance.

He said throughout his career he didn't plot out his goals, or harbor thoughts for higher office, but kept being promoted, then elected after being urged on by others to run.

He never wanted to be in the spotlight, he was dragged into it.

google is your friend, I am not.
Im sorry to hear about Malone. It would be great if he took Robey's seat.

Malone cancelled a fundraiser according to an email. I don't know why he would do that if he were exploring a senate run, unless there are some legal issues above my pay grade. district 12a and b are merging, bobo is retiring, and now deboy, so that would give him top seed in 12 if he were to run. But he would make a good senate candidate too in 12 or 13.

Not in Howard county, just curious, these people are retiring now? There's another session in January, who gets to pick their successors? I don't think they will have a special election this year but they should. Have you got a county excutive? Just wondering why they don't wait until the election next year.

Just keep an eye on them, perhaps it could be telling, perhaps they have new jobs lined up that were secured by their votes.

Don’t kid yourself comrade. The Marxist-Leninist residents of Howard County District 13 will not learn… They will elect a bigger libtard in his place.

From the article - "I really respect Mr. Robey for his strength and his willingness to understand that if we were going to have the county we wanted, we were going to have to make a difficult political move and raise taxes," said Wacks."
