Worsley
I apologize for hurting your feelings!
Latest edition is this Charter Arms Pitbull. A 5 shot 9MM revolver that does not require moon clips like my S&W 547.
Oooohhhh... that's pretty.
That pistol deserves a restoration if feasible.I don't think I posted this puppy. I picked it up back in the early spring. Rough cosmetic condition. Someone left it in a box, in their garage, for a lot of years before the family found it. Estate consignment. Corrosion ate through some of the nickel, but at least the nickel isn't peeling. Some pitting on the top strap, but it isn't too deep. And some bore corrosion, but not too much. It shoots REAL accurate. And the internals were in okay shape. A little buffing and oiling in there and she is smooth as butter. It'll shoot a lot better than I can, and I can put 6 careful single shot rounds into a fist at 25 yards off hand. Smoother single action than my Dan Wesson 44 (not as good DA as my DW, but still a very nice DA).
Picked it up for a bit under half what a typical 27-2 runs these days. Not going to complain at all about the cosmetics!
First revolvers?? Nicely done.Brought home a pair of snakes last Friday. My first revolvers. Their unofficial names are SOCOM RC3 for the 44 Mag and SOCOM MINI 2 for the 357 Mag. Maybe I should name them after my exes… Pamela & Sheryl! I hope it’s in no way sacrilegious they got posted still wrapped in plastic. They’ll both be in Bore Stores soon as I have them. “Welcome Home Ladies!”
Colt just slipped out a special Python...the Combat Python Elite though not marked as such. No grand rollout or announcement...they just suddenly hit the market. It's supposedly a Custom Shop piece but MSRP is the same as the standard Python. Special stocks...3" barrel...unfluted cylinder and tritium front sight blade. At first I didn't think I would want one...but after handling one it had to come home with me. Gotta say...it's a beefy revolver weight-wise...you don't get how much those few ounces of steel removed from a fluted cylinder weighs.

I also picked up the Colt Officers Model Match .22LR...made in 1958. It has some honest wear but overall very nice. Got it for pretty short money in a local auction.

I have that one as well., did you think I meant the 547 requires moon clips? The 547 doesn't use moonclips.
NICE!Well, I finally bought one.
It appears that Colt has released a new variation of Python, returning to the 2.5" barrel, a half-inch shorter than the 3-incher that came out a few years ago.Well, I finally bought one.

Apparently there's a 5" model added, as well. Nice option.
5" really sounds like a sweet spot...It appears that Colt has released a new variation of Python, returning to the 2.5" barrel, a half-inch shorter than the 3-incher that came out a few years ago.
For some reason they don't seem to be publicising the fact. I may have to get one, dammit.

...yes!I think the 5" Python is the most balanced looking Python ever.
