I may have posted this before, but here are three generations of S&W revolvers. From the top, 681 no dash, an early 66 no dash (note the S/S sights), and 1st year (1954) Highway Patrolman.

Model 1883 Reichsrevolver with original holster and 10mm German Ordinance rounds.. This was gifted to me by my boss for Christmas. It belonged to his wife's great grandfather who was in a Artillery unit durring WW1.

Not sure is I have posted this or not.
    1972 Colt Detective.
A gift from a retired LEO friend.
He bought it new in 72 as a back-up piece.
It was never carried or been fired.
Been in his safe since new until he gifted it to me.

Total flat out cool especially how they marked many weapons of the great war where they were assigned to.

What I want. Bisley in either .44, .45 Colt or .454 casul / .460 (both those would likely live as a .45 Colt diet). Gotta be 4 5/8”. Preferred blued and unfluted but let’s keep dreaming.

How I’d like it to exist in its final form after decades. I say decades because unless something changes, the work to get it would be spendy. But a Bisley with Ivory-Esque or bone stocks, hotrodded internals and sights atop an octagon barrel? Don’t forget the lanyard in rough country either. Shoo that’s sexy and I don’t care whatcha say!

This Smith fella isn’t as fast as he used to be 20 years ago. Either that or I got the drop on him.

Not rare, but something you don't see everyday. S&W model 581 (no dash). First year production (1980) with AAA serial number prefix. One of the prettiest guns they ever made, IMO.

Whoa…if you found that in the closet, I bet I could find a box in mine. How’s about I mail you a box and you put that their obsolete revolver in it, then ship to me down here. I’ll make sure it’s well used.
