Yeah, more of an aficionado gun. GB would be the appropriate place to get more eyes to move it. One of these days, I might shop for one (or hope that S&W does a re-release). Glad you got a buyer.

    45acp beauties

Had these at the range yesterday. S&W model 625-2 and a Colt model 1917. Both in 45acp. Made 70 years apart. Revolvers in this caliber are really fun to shoot, especially with moon clips.

I think this model is a work of art. The proportions are perfect, the wood grips and the bluing go great together. Like Fidelity said, it screams badass.
Compact enough to put in the glove of a 70s muscle car (where permitted), short enough barrel to be easily drawn from the hip, long enough barrel to leverage 357 Magnum power to put down a black bear if ever needed. Plus, as CSM notes, the combination of elements in this gun make for a super attractive whole. A 586 with a 4-inch barrel is something that I not only covet for myself, but want to pass on to the kids.

That's a real neat combination. The old Colt nearly as accurate on target with a decent trigger pull?

The Colt has a very heavy double action. I also have S&W model 1917 which is a much more refined gun. The 625 is one of the few Smith's I own that doesn't have a pin in the barrel. It's a great shooter. Well balanced and more accurate than I can shoot it.

    Just got in to the revolver game. Just picked up 2 S&W a 4"19-3 and a 6 1/2" 29-2.

Glad that Smith has solved the issue of those press-fit barrels launching themselves downrange. Just the same, I prefer pinned.

I'll get a better pic in natural light when it's out of purgatory.

I shot mine this past weekend! Shot it at 25 yards. Very accurate! Pretty close to dead on right out of the box. The trigger is great in both Sa and DA. Awesome wheel gun! Trust me you will love it!!! The Python is beyond my budget but this quality piece will suffice! I bought mine new online for $675 shipped. With the Blue Fins $25 transfer and $10 MSP it was $710 out the door. After watching this video I had to have it!

I love 586's. Literally one of my all-time-favorites. Never owned one that wasn't a great performer with just about anything you could load in it.

Yes it has the Hillary hole:mad54: but I did not pay the non Hillary hole price so I can live with it.

Different makes do coexist. The stainless Smith is a Horton 624. I do have the holster...
Also a Python and 2 3/4” Ruger Security Six.
