I picked up a 3rd model S&W Hand Ejector in .44 Special the other week. Made in 1927, it's just imperfect enough to fail as a Safe Queen, which is nice. I picked up a nice old Heiser brown button holster to carry it in. Normally I'm not into fancy leather, but this revolver seemed to belong in it.
Note the single address line, the five-screw format, the period-correct grips (without the S&W medallions) and the non-Bubba'd screws.
This was today’s carry gun.
