I have an entry Canon body, the SL1. I have the two lenses it came with and one mid level Macro. Pretty much every picture you see I do in a high dynamic range which is something I read about and figured out. This is done by taking three identical pictures (using a tripod and two second timer to avoid any finger shake on the trigger). I take them typically at a -2 , 0 , +2 exposures. Then you take those files and throw them through a program called photomatix and it merges all three pictures to one. It takes all the Range in color from the various exposures and gives you a rich, true to eye, picture. I always use natural light. Cloudy is always better too. Then I use a program called Lightroom. I simply increase/decrease variables rather than edit a picture to something it wasn't originally. Does that make sense?

    Completely!

The Stampede is cool. I had no idea that Beretta ever built an SA revolver but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Sergio Leone approves! :D

My current obsession is Colt revolvers. I found this 1994 Colt Detective Special on GB from a local seller the week before last.

Considering that Colt stopped making it in 1995 it's probably one of the last they ever built.

    That is BEAUTIFUL. Nice find!

Took a few more pics of my "muscle car" era 6-shooters. Jonesing for some outdoor range time.

Outside mine too. I couldn't resist getting the Python when I had the chance, but now getting harder to justify as there are other things that I want. :)

Look forward to pics of your 686+.

Ain't it? The guy tortured me with pics when he first got it. What is interesting/less typical is that he shops for safe queen quality, classic revolvers to shoot and enjoy at the range.

Thank you! Thank you! Somebody was having a really good day at the Colt factory when they ran that thing thru the polishing machine.

What's even funnier is I don't shop intentionally for those kinds of revolvers, they just have a way of turning-up during the search and (as you know) I have no resistance whatsoever. None. ;)

Finally managed to snag a beautiful Model 29-2 with a 6 1/2" barrel. This was an elusive beast. Came close a couple of times but, every time I'd find one it was either beat-up pretty bad or so over-priced it was obscene.

    U7kBz38.jpg

S&W said it shipped in late 1976, probably right around the time I reported for Basic Training at Fort Sill, OK.

So, while waiting to pick it up, I perused a few YouTube videos yesterday and found that Hickok45 also recently got the same kind of Model 29-2 after waiting a very long time.

Fun video to watch with some interesting trivia about the movie.
