Remington 700 7mm

Saw this at the Tackle Box the other day. Looked like a nice enough rifle, but then I looked at the scope and it was a Leupold!!! Asking price is a $1,000. Thoughts or suggestions???

Which model leupold, riflmen go for about $200. Also which 700, bdl, cdl? Makes a difference. A leupold rifleman on a bdl, probably not a great deal. OTOH a VXIII or better on any 700 probably not a bad deal.
Just my opinion.

That is a used rifle IIRC and has been in the rack for the better part of a year now. The sticker shock has been enough to turn many a wandering eye away.
I've picked it up myself before, looked at the tag and put it back down (carefully) before I damaged anything.

As far as specifics go, I will have to go back some other time and get them then post them. Only had a few minutes of time and I spent most of it looking at ammo prices.
