For research M.D. Smith (reloadingammo.com) looks to source loads from Manuals and Powder Manufacture sites with a links page. Disclaimer is noted. I always double check with manuals and Power Manufacture specs.

I do not recommend the nosler book. I got it with a rcbs kit that I bought and the data is rather lacking. it also didn't have .303B that I wanted to reload.

Below is a snapshot from Hogden's website and as someone that has been studying for a year for this (and my focus changed to acquisition of firearms during that time) I am now looking to continue my education for reloading.

    115 GR. FMJ Winchester WSF .355" 1.169" 4.9 1060 24,200 PSI 5.7 1195 31,900 PSI

I want to use HP-38/Win 231 and will likely be using 115 GR FMJ. As you can see in the chart above, the only 115 GR FMJ shows using Winchester WSF. Can the information from 115 GR LRN be used or is that a huge no-no???

Yes, start low and work up, Sierra says min 3.8 to max 5.3 with 1.10 COAL.

WSF is a great powder by the way. Just not as much reloading data from as many sources as W231.

Get some of the data books from the bullet manufacturers. Hornady, Sierra, Speer, Berger, Nosler all publish load data books.

Also the Lyman manual is a good source of load data for various powders and bullets.

I would NOT use lead bullet data for a jacketed bullet.

But if you look further down, there is data for the Speer Gold Dot, which is a jacketed hollow point bullet.
