It is not just the effort of the trimming, it is loading and unloading the cases from the trimmer.

The WFT works by just pushing the end of the case into it. You can work very quickly trimming a number of cases.

The bench type trimmers require that you insert the case, lock it, trim it, unlock it, remove it, repeat. LOTS of wasted time.

Those of us recommending something like the WFT have BT, DT, and learned our lessons. :)

Aslo, .45 ACP does need trimming. I have loaded tens of thousands of rounds, some cases many times, and NEVER trimmed.

Straight wall cases do not need trimming. I would suspect .30 Carbine does not need trimming.

Also, the .30-06 and .308 use the same WFT trimmer, same case family.

I use an RCBS Trim Pro. The available 3 way cutters make it a simple one step operation to trim to length and deburr the case. Works for caliber I shoot.
