It will all pass in a few days, unless we get hit with the DDOS attack again like last year, which was a totally different animal.

Are the 'shields up' Captain ?

As I remember correctly, the DDOS attacks coincided with our rally in Nap'Town last year, so the good ship 'MDS Enterprise' needs to lock'n'load the photon tubes early. :D

    #2ATuesday Peace, out.

Thanks for everyone's patience while we weather this spat of spammers.

Just to give you an idea of what we're dealing with, here's a screenshot of the Introductions forum from our perspective. All of those threads in italics are spam threads that got hosed, and that one screenshot is about half of what got through the shields.

Now, imagine that for everything you see there, that 10 more are the ones that we caught before you ever saw anything from them. That's what we're dealing with right now. :sad20:

    Why in French today?
    Coming from Canada or Europe?

Honestly, I haven't been checking origin. These are like shooting ducks in a pond and we really don't even need to check them before deleting them.

On behalf of the community, thanks for all of your efforts cleaning up the debris!!

It's not the hardest thing in the world, just a little frustrating. We've always prided ourselves on being ad free and mostly spam free and this batch of jackbags is screwing up our batting average.

By the looks of things, it seems like it may be easier to just start a horoscope forum on MDS so they can post there
