Goose Guy
Skooma lord
I will say one thing about my cheaper shotguns, they're all good working girls. I'm not afraid to lay any of them down in the mud next to me on a cold winter's morning. Cheap shotguns also let new, younger people into the sport who wouldn't otherwise be able to do so. This is good.
That said, a properly fitted shotgun with quality parts makes a huge difference if you are heavy into competition shooting where one clay can lose a match. Just ask the long range rifle guys.
However, most of us just like hearing the gun going off and seeing the milk jug flying 15 feet through the air spewing water all over the place. Whatever floats your boat.
As far as the "shottie" thing is concerned, people are going to do stuff like that. Just like calling revolvers "wheelguns". It's just something you are going to have to get used to it 'cause it ain't goin away no time soon. At least until it is replaced by something else. It's all in fun, which is one of the main purposes of forums, and the sport.
