How is the snap in .40? I was going to buy a CPO .357 as they have been coming in cheap, but this is due to the fact that everyone and their brother is abandoning the .357 sig cartridge which will probably become obsolete in 10 years. I do like the cartrige and it handles great in my 226 (which I also have a .40 and .22 barrel/slide for) but I am hesitant to invest in another gun that I cant swap the barrel without fitting. So given these great guns are so cheap (and my 9mm has become my favorite shooter) I amthinking of a .40 for HD.

It lets you know it's there, but it's really not a big deal. The pistol fits my hands so well that control isn't an issue. I find that I'm more accurate with the 2022 than I am with a 9mm 226, even though it kicks less.

If/when we finally get CCW in Md, I'll happily carry the 2022, even though it's a little large. .40's a versatile caliber, and the 2022's a fantastic platform.
