    So, as some of you may recall, I built my own .300 blk upper for sh!ts and giggles a few months ago. After several months of being too busy to have any fun, I finally had an opportunity to take my new toy to the range and put about 100 rnds downrange. I must say that I think I'm in love! :o This baby shoots like a dream and is accurate as hell. First, here's the setup:

    Received the final parts for my .300 blk build tonight and here's the finished product:

    I had a great time shooting my rifle; I did not encounter any problems related to feeding, cycling, or ignition. The gun functions flawless and was an absolute dream to shoot.

    Alas, that seems to be the case. Thank you for picking my brass out of your sweepings. :thumbsup:

    No SBR? Man that would be the only reason I would go 300 BLK, get a nice 9"-10" SBR.

    Not knocking your rifle, looks sweet man!

    Very cool build. Still waiting for my SBR stamp to shoot my 10" as a SBR and not a pistol.

    I chose the .300 blk non-SBR for several reasons:

    1. With a sixteen inch barrel, I can always suppress it and it still won't be too long;

    2. I like the round much better then the .223 (although each has its place) and it still feeds flawlessly in the AR platform;

    3. I plan to make a go at hunting with this rifle as most of my recent kills where I hunt have been <100yds. Even at 200 yds, this round is still lethal. I'll need a better optic/scope though.
