Lots of people, there are third party magwells that fill it. Glock removed the half moon cut on newer Gen 5 models. I purposely avoid the 19X and waited until I found an Austria stamped Gen 5 without the cut because I knew I would hate it.
Magwells are the only option I’m aware of. SLR makes one but I’m sure there are other options that are cheaper and different shapes. There’s probably a “magwell” out there that really does nothing more than fill the half moon cut, I’m just not a Glock magwell guy so I can’t say for sure.
It's a common gripe. The MOS models don't have the cut out anymore bc people complained about it so much (I know this doesn't solve your problem.) as others stated... There's aftermarket mag wells to solve this problem. Let me see if I can find a link.
Yeah, that's why I didn't get the Gen 5 until they released the non-MOS version with the no-cutout, beveled front frame. It has front serrations too, which is a plus
Not having the notch is more forgiving on the angle of the mag when reloading on the clock. That's my main issue, but not having to feel the notch is nice too
