I just found a dillon for sale. They want 200 just for the press nothing with it. It is a dillon 550b is this a good price or should I stay away. I have a rock chucker but am starting to do 9 and 45 pistol rounds.

Just the press? Does it have a handle, a base? Details are important. It does sound like a fair deal for just the press since Dillon is famous for it's no questions warranty. You will need a fair amount of support pieces like primer tubes and such. They will add up quick. The brianenos.com site can tell you what normally comes with a kit, so you can price out the rest of what you need.

200 for a 550, just the press? Even with/without a handle it is a steal. Buy that sucker and don't look back. You can get all the other stuff for it from Dillon's website.

On a side note Dick. Where are you located? If you are nearby me, I'd be willing to help you set it up, calibrate dies, and calibrate the powder measure on the 550 after you get everything.

First, make sure it is the RL-550B and not the AT500.


Don't hesitate........ Buy it!!!


20 something years ago, I got my RL-550B and a BUNCH of other goodies (toolheads, etc.) for $200.00 and it was a steal, then!


Now......... the only way to say it, is..... Buy it!!!
