    Are you sending sighed copies?

    Link?
All copies sold by myself or through my publisher’s website will be signed. If they are bought from a secondary distributor they will not be.

Here is the link, thank you for your consideration

    Yes was on the print.
Got it. I think the first 500 were getting prints? I don’t remember. If you don’t have print number one (and I sincerely hope Matt took the first twenty for himself), it’s just a cool picture :D

Having the book can save you LOTS of money! Just ask the guy who paid $4300 for a fake Finn Cavalry carbine (M27rv) this weekend…

Ouch! But you only have yourself to blame in instances like this. I got snookered, along with some very knowledgeable French firearm collectors, on a Lebel rifle years ago. It's still in the collection as a shooter, a reminder to myself to always be skeptical when a unicorn arrives on the market. I lucked out in that I only spent $550, which in today's dollars is still under $1k where a typical Lebel would be.
That fantasy M27rv that sold at the recent L&G auction had so many red flags, even if you didn't have Matt's book. But the ability to spot a ringer comes with experience or the wisdom to reach out to someone experienced for their opinion, which I routinely do. I'm not too proud, or wealthy, to ask for help. Plus you get to learn something important in the process. It sucks that the buyer shelled out $4300 to learn a hard lesson.

My copy came today, print numbered 434. Big, hefty book with outstanding illustrations on heavy paper. Very well done.

I received my copy today, and while flipping through it was pleasantly surprised to see pictures of a rifle I used to own. Although the serial number noted is different and a stock disc was added, it's definitely the same rifle. Very cool.

    Dave-
Are you saying someone switched barreled actions and added a stock disc?
Who did you sell it to?
I’d definitely let Matt know via Gunboards DM and see what he thinks! I don’t see a credit on photograph in your picture of new book.

I'm hoping the serial number listed in the book is just a mistake, and that it was not switched like you said. Though that did cross my mind. I sold this rifle on GunBroker in early 2021.

The more I look at the pictures in the book and the pictures that I originally posted, the more I think the stock was swapped. The metal on the original rifle when I owned it was basically "in the white". There looks to be a good amount of bluing on the metal in the photos in the book. A barrel with the noted serial number, 32507, appears later in the book with much of its original bluing remaining. That is really unfortunate. I messaged Matt on Gunboards. Hoping to hear back from him soon.

Thanks for the note Dave. I am checking on that one. I appreciate the compliments on the book from everyone. Truly a humbling experience for me with this whole experience.

Sad that some would swap stocks on these warhorses.

I’m hoping to pick up this book soon. Missed my Xmas window!
