Love ya back, Ed! All the best and keep fighting!
STRONG prayers up for you and your care givers!
And I'm SO glad to hear it wasn't the "C" word that put you in. There's way too much of that these days.
Sad to say that it was the 'C' word ... indirectly I had a bowel resection for a tumor last year and the remaining 1/2 of my lower intestine got infected (diverticulitis). But the good news is that the antibiotics are working. Now I just need to get the 'plumbing' functioning again. If I have a BM today, I can go home.
I'm sitting up, taking nourishment, and enjoying the PP thread from The Red Hen.
PSA: Get a routine colonoscopy, and more frequently as you age. It can save your life ... and in my case can prevent a lot of hospital stays. I know it's a POA (literally), but no pain, no gain.
I'm being discharged at 5 today, I felt like the kid being potty trained ...
I just did a POOPY !!!
I had another blockage at the end of July, now I am on home hospice and not doing well. Copious prayers needed as I am in pain from my gut and not processing food.
It's not looking good for a recovery any time soon, if at all.
