STRONG prayers up for you and your care givers!

And I'm SO glad to hear it wasn't the "C" word that put you in. There's way too much of that these days.

Sad to say that it was the 'C' word ... indirectly I had a bowel resection for a tumor last year and the remaining 1/2 of my lower intestine got infected (diverticulitis). But the good news is that the antibiotics are working. Now I just need to get the 'plumbing' functioning again. If I have a BM today, I can go home.

I'm sitting up, taking nourishment, and enjoying the PP thread from The Red Hen.

PSA: Get a routine colonoscopy, and more frequently as you age. It can save your life ... and in my case can prevent a lot of hospital stays. I know it's a POA (literally), but no pain, no gain.

Very happy to have a chance to visit with my hero EL1227 today at AA Medical Center.

Ed looked and sounded GREAT, considering he was, again, almost a goner. Thank God for premier medical care + prayer!

I tell you, I know cats have 9 lives, but the good Lord blessed Ed with bonus coupons, big time!

Great to see him and his lovely wife today and happy to know that he is well enough to be discharged in the next hour!

    Relapsed

I had another blockage at the end of July, now I am on home hospice and not doing well. Copious prayers needed as I am in pain from my gut and not processing food.

It's not looking good for a recovery any time soon, if at all.
