You could rent it out for $20 for a week. I'd think you could get your money back and more in a few months.

You're kidding right? Every Polymer80 kit comes with a jig. It's disposable after the cutting is complete.

Sweet! Thanks for the info. Is there any particular polishing compound that you recommend? How about ammo? It was quite an investment to get this done and I don’t want to mess it up!

Thanks—this forum has been helpful... I am new to the gun scene, but I am enjoying the culture!

I've used Flitz on my builds as recommended by many other builders. As to the trigger issues, carefully exam the connector. That was my issue on some builds, they were slightly bent too far outwards from me playing with them. Also do the $0.25 trigger jog (Youtube)

Connectors of varying #s are a good thing to have a few extra of as well as springs and pins.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve placed an order for Mother’s right before I got the last answer. I will go to YouTube and check those videos. Hopefully between all this advice, I’ll get something working. I will let you all know how it goes.

To date, I've done 10+ of these and I've had this happen with the earlier gen2 runs of these. Usually, the issue is one of two things (or both):

The Rear Rail Module is slightly rounded at the base, causing the rail and as such, the slide, to sit slightly too high for the striker to engage (esp when the trigger is being held during the slide reciprocating, which can draw the crossbar down a bit).

The trigger / ejector housing holes were drilled slightly too low, cause the cross bar to sit lower than the striker engagement surface.

In all cases, I have fixed it by a) polishing the rail modules to remove a few thousandths, or b) slightly bending the rear rails down a bit / flattening the bottom portion of the 'U' shape the rail modules makes (when looking at it lengthwise). If the holes aren't drilled too 'off' then you should be all set, especially if you're saying it's intermittently happening.

Thanks--I will give it a whirl. I think I may not have filed down the U shape enough and that may be the cause of it. I have a Dremel and some some Mother's mag polish coming via Amazon today and hopefully that will help. If not, I will come back.

    Yo da man GAP!

I did the $.25 trigger jog (sic) this evening. Holy shiite the difference is night and day. It is still a Glock trigger pull, but the gritty feeling is gone.
I used to have- grind, crush, grind, engage, BANG!!!
I now have- squeeze, squeeze, squeeze, engage, BANG!!!

You are getting a shot of the bourbon of your choice at Welder's bourbon night- on me!!!

How is the accuracy from these builds?

As accurate as the slide, barrel and sights you put on it. Many put OEM Glock parts on their first build before doing customizing builds. Done right, as accurate as any Glock you'll buy IMHO

I’m still having trouble with my trigger not resetting.

I tried The $.25 trigger video, as well as shaving down a little more of the barrel and rails. I took it to the range yesterday with only was able to fire one shot. I would’ve had it taken apart to push the trigger lever back.

Would I be able to take this to my local gun dealer for them to look at it? Or did they not want to mess around with these things? If so, what’s a good place to bring it?

Where are you located? You may be able to find a member near you that can help find the problem.
I would think that any gun dealer that services Glocks should be willing to look at it. After all, they are in business to make money.

I live in the Glen Burnie area. I’m not sure if this is close to anyone...
