The scenario is: Bought a 38 spec. Colt Trooper in 1964 in Idaho. Moved to MD. in 1972 and am now living in Balt. with the Trooper living in a gun safe. Have never registered it anywhere but the question is - with the changing regulations am I now required to register it with the Balt. or MD state police?

had a friend talk to a FFL about a this situation. FFL told do not register his gun a colt 1911 from the 60's he bought it in the early 80's.. they said that the State POPO would want to test fire it and check it against open crimes and it would take years to get it back if you ever did. Don't know if this is true or not.

Does MDSPLD actually help these FFL's renew their MD licenses? I can't imagine them being able to do it themselves

    So you're like 80? Cool.
