So I have been considering getting a SLR 104 ur sbr but because of MD 29" OAL requirement, the booster has to be pinned and welded in place. But I'm concerned about corrosion and rust building up under the booster. Is this something I should be worried about even if I don't shoot corrosive ammo?

    Thanks

There are stock options to get you to 29". CNC warrior has longer LOP triangle stocks.

You could just pull out the carrier and run water down through the gas tube and barrel to flush it out.

Also I think you could use a Bulgarian style booster which can be disassembled with the body pinned.

For the 104ur, stocks are limited. The rear trunnion only accepts stocks with 5.5mm pin holes.

The 4 piece Bulgarian booster is a good idea. I didn't realize it broke down for cleaning. But one thing im wondering is do I even have to worry about corrosion around the muzzle threads if im not shooting corrosive ammo?
