He mounted a 10 power scope to an m2. The rate of fire was slow enough that he could squeeze off a single round at a time.

Jim Laughland is the guy who was in the shoot off for the Wimbledon Cup with Carlos Hathcock at Perry. I think Jimmy was using an M14 with iron sights against Hathcock's scoped model 70. Some of you know Jimmy from the AGC, where he still shoots in the highpower league. He is a great guy!

I recall reading somewhere that armorers began mounting scopes to M2's in Korea, but I can't find the source.
