Here's my first stock painting attempt.

I was shooting for a tiger stripped inspired stock.

    Materials:

    Rustoleum Plastic paint (tan)

Rustoleum camoflage paint (brown and green)

    Denatured alcohol

    Jute rope, unwound and frayed.

first off, a good wipedown with denatured alcohol.

Then paint it tan, wrap with rope:

    Then paint Brown and Green.

    Let it dry, and unwrap:

    Notes:

I was unsure if there would be problems with the rope sticking to the stock, so I tried to find the sweet spot in the drying time (dry but not cured). I think that part was un needed, and I would let it dry fully before unwrapping. The rope did not stick, and there was some minor smearing when I unwrapped.
