Any thoughts on how MD will or will not recognize out of state permits in wake of Supreme Court ruling? The right to self defense should still exist for non-residents. I am in MD frequently visiting friends and family.

I don't think the SCOTUS ruling will force reciprocity any time soon, if at all.

Unless there are some major court battles, you will have to apply for non resident permits for states you want to carry in.

Maryland does allow a non resident ability to acquire a permit.

To my knowledge, the only states a this time that have no method of acquiring non resident permits are CA, NY, and HI. OR and IL do allow non resident permits but it's only residents of a few states who qualify.

I concur. I doubt MD will every consider reciprocity, but up to now they HAVE issued permits to out of state business owners who applied. This may be one of the very few outs that the NY case technically doesn't apply to.

Maryland's wear and carry permit is already recognized in 29 states. No need for reciprocity for a state to recognize another state's permits.
