a buckmaster WILL lose zero if it gets any sort of decent knocking.

just ask the doe I missed at 75 yards after my rifle, which was leaned against the truck, slid to the ground about 90 minutes before taking the shot.

save yourself a major bout of frustration and just get the SWFA 10x42. it's plenty of glass for what you plan on doing, but still very budget-friendly compared to other selections on the market.

I have been wanting to pick up another super sniper but I don't know if I want to put my buckmaster on my rimfire and get a 10X SS for my 700 for hunting and some distance shooting or get a 16X for my kimber rimfire and leave the buckmaster on the 700 :)

^^^ I've been reading some good things about the Millett scope, also.

I need to buy a scope for my 10/22 build I'm sitting on, and can't decide what scope I want to use on it.

I may go with a Nikon BDC on it.
    I just don't know. . . . . .

I would suggest looking into Redfield scopes.
Overall, they have held up better and had more consistent quality than other reasonably priced scopes I have owned.

The bushnell elite line is worth a look... good quality for the price. I have a 6-24X50 sitting on my .308 bolt gun (Savage 10 FCP-K) and it treated me well out to 500 yards (back when I had access to that range).

I second the Bushnell Elite as well as this Weaver Tactical on sale

From you post it appears you are not trying to compete in Long Range shooting just yet so these are very good $300 scopes that will serve you well to start.
Stay away from Ebay though !!
