Looking for suggestions for scope to mount on a 6.5 Creedmoor build. Put together on a Mega Arms Maten receiver set and an 18" Ballistic Advantage barrel.

Vortex viper hslr 6-24x50 it's amazing. It's an ffp and ballistics reticle. Very clear picture.

how near and how far are you planning on shooting? i have nightforce nxs 5.5-22x56 that works great when i shoot out to 900-1200 yards.

You WILL want good glass for this gun if your going 1000k+.

I'm saving my pennies for something in the $2k range. I have a decent scope now, but not enough elevation out to 1200

Something decent with a max power in the 20x to 24x range would do. Budget would be Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 at around $500, Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24x50 FFP at about $1000, and both will need 20 MOA offset rail or mounts. Above $1000 you are on your own. Has to have a 30mm tube minimum to get enough adjustment although at the high end most are 34mm.

Is everything the same (scope wise) if using a bolt action Ruger Amer. Predator 6.5 Creedmoor rifle (20" barrel)?

The Viper PST was a little disappointing to use at max power. I haven't looked through the Razor Gen 2, but it gets good reviews...though the price is quite a bit higher.

My $390 on sale ($600+MSRP) SFP 5-15x40 Bushnell Elite Tactical LRS with mil dot reticle and AO parallax got me out to 1,200 yards consistently with my 6mm. It's on an EGW HD 20 moa rail. You don't have to spend a lot of money, just be very picky in your scope selection, and buy at the right sale.

I have a 6-24x50 Vortex HST SFP mil/mil and a 6-24x50 Bushnell Elite FFP mil/mil ET6245FG that are a bit more pricey, but I also like.

My Burris C4 4.5-14 is also very clear. I used that on my 22-250 out to 600 yards. It's all MOA functionality, though.

I didn't like the Viper PST 1-4x24, especially the reticle. Ended up with the Burris 1-4x24 MTAC as my first 3-gun scope. However I do have a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 on my 6.8 AR and I like it's Dead Hold BDC reticle. Bought it in sale but did not want the 50mm version as I wanted to get it as low on my AR as I could.
