Oh man, I hated that movie but that's probably because I saw the original one in the theater when it was released back in 1984.

Most modern remakes just don't do it for me.

I have to admit, I thought the latest version of True Grit was pretty good.

The remade "True Grit" was like listening to a 2-hour speech by the Blazing Saddles' "Gabby Johnson" character.

But it was pretty good.

I watched the new true grit, I really saw no difference in it and the original. Maybe they laid rooster cogburn on pretty thick, but pretty much the same flick, different actors...
