    You did a great job turning that lost cause into a fine shooter you can be proud of.

    I would have been lost. I probably would have filled in the pitting with Bondo and "blued" it with a Sharpie.

    Lugers are awesome, and anytime one is saved from the scrap heap, that is a wonderful thing! From the difference between the one 'before' pic on the thread and the 'after' pics, you've done a terrific job.
    The fact that your wife also likes shooting it is a huge pure bonus!

    Looks pretty good, its functional and to be honest thats what counts. Now if it was in that rusty condition because it was recovered from a WWII wreck that would be a different story since it has history. Glad your hard work paid off.
