OK all you Glock fans....

I have been wanting a 10mm and really like the Glock 20's. I heard somewhere that the Glock 20 and Glock 21 (45ACP) frames are the same.

So, could I get a Glock 20 or 21 and buy a slide and barrel for the other and kill 2 birds with one stone?

I would love to be able to go Glock 20 in 10mm, and come back later and get a Glock 21 (45) slide/barrel to round out the combo.

Anyone done this?

P.S. I reload for 45 ACP now, and plan on reloading 10mm if/when I get one.

There may be a 45 barrel for the 20, but the 20 is specifically built to withstand the pressure of the 10mm, the 21 isnt.

Ok, but I'm saying new barrel and slide for the 21 or 21.

You may. They are dimensionally the same.

Not sure if they are "officially" interchangeable, but I have seen where people use them interchangeably and it works...

Internet search stuff only......

I should clarify.... I have seen where a guy is using the G20 mags to shoot the shorter 45ACP and said it works fine. I doubt you could go the other way using the G21 mags for 10mm.

I have the G20. Not sure if you can interchange with the 21 but i don't see why. the.50 conversion kit fits both the 20 and 21
