Some Task Force. They didn't even use a fishbone diagram, is anyone there a Analyst? Do they even has the basic knowledge of Stats, or Data Analytics? Glad I don't live in that county!

Chamblee indicated she was a Baltimore County resident. But she's a victim.

Nobody is taking guns. This isn't about the 2A. 90% of the country agrees with "us", even the NRA. We just have to get the word out.

But registration is very good, storage requirements are very good, ERPOs are very good. (AA County leads the state!).
Pittman lives in the country and he owns a gun! MPGV has a lot of resources on gun laws.

It was pointed out to the Exec's Chief of Staff that the task force included at least three representatives from groups favoring gun control, but no one from MSRPA, MSI, or any hunter group. Stand by, but don't expect real change.

Oh, I believe that we can expect change... but it won't be change for the better unfortunately. :mad54:

The Capital Facebook page has an article on last night's meeting and the comments are off to a rousing start calling for us to be hanged as traitors.

We are pleased with what we accomplished, and the hysterical labeling and ludicrous comparisons on the Capital Gazette FB page indicate that we are exactly over the target.

Our presence moderated the tone of the first meeting discussion, just as intended.

We look forward to being joined by more Patriots at these monthly meetings, so more of our Friends can enjoy sharing in the positive, tangible results of representing our community in person.

Being present at the inception also validates our continuing presence in this process going forward.

We assembled there as polite and civil witnesses to the proceeding, fully intending to become public commenters eventually as the promised opportunity develops.

Although we were silent during the initial meeting discussion process, we obviously weren’t silent before the press.

Our pro-2A presence was noted in the headline of the Capital Gazette article, and we got the last word in the reporting of the story.

This was the appropriate journalistic balance, since the Task Force is so clearly over-weighted with members who will not likely represent us in their discussions.

For those who don’t do FB, some screen caps below of the Capital Gazette FB page and the article comment posted there by Gazette widow and AACO Task Force Co-Chair Andrea Chamblee.

We are truly sorry for the terrible loss Andrea Chamblee has suffered, just as we mourn the loss of all innocents murdered by criminals and the mentally ill.

We are equally sorry the Capital Gazette chose not to protect the precious lives of its employees.

The Second Amendment - - even as circumscribed in Maryland - - nevertheless afforded her husband’s employer that option.

We can only urge that the right be exercised.

We cannot force others to exercise the right if they choose not to.

Oh crap. That woman is crazy. I'm sure as a victim, she would be 100% unbiased (sarcasm - in case anybody couldn't figure that out)

    She wants us hanged?

And she brought the Jews into this - how? I'm still confused.

She seems bitter. She should be off the task force.

I am surprised at the generalizations about gun owners. Is that what the attendees said? They were collecting to overthrow the country.

Did the guy that shot her husband collect firearms?

Thanks to all who attended this meeting. You obviously tossed a spanner in their works. And, thanks DL for the photos and updates for those of us who can not stomach going to this kind of thing.

I'm not surprised that the organizers did not invite "our side," but surely some Republican elected officials heard about this cluster and could have shown up to represent our interests.

    But, no.

Well, if she's saying some truly vitriolic over the top stuff, and this taskforce's stated purpose is to build a consensus towards some stated goal, shouldn't it be a question whether she should be on the task for or not?

To rational people, your answer would be yes, she should be removed. But we are talking about AA Co, so all bets are off.

It's probably time to set up our own community Task Force to analyze and address this "problem". For every one of these shams that the anti-gunners do, we need to be proactive and do one concurrently and parallel with them. As long as the pro-gun community can agree with each other long enough to do it, which lately seems pretty difficult.

I think this is another example of Pittman thinking AACo is more blue than it really is. Seems like every day he is doing something to ensure the next AACo Executive is a conservative or moderate.

Took almost an hour for a TF member to raise the subject of “illegal guns” as more than a throwaway phase.

She is a police officer representing AACo PD Police Chief Tim Altomare.

Says most ERPOs are “police initiated” and magistrates bump cop ERPOs to the front of the line.

This is a VERY interesting quip, and should be circulated widely.

So much for the talking point that the aggrieved/threatened victim will be doing the initiating.
