The last one I picked up was $5 at the Upper Marlboro show. I saw one on the floor at Fred's in Waldorf, beat up and rusty, for $11.95. Needless to say, it stayed on the floor. Anything more than $5 at the gun shows and I'll just go with the free one from Cabela's when you buy bulk ammo.

That's exactly why we don't get into the bidding wars.

We are still in the running for all our cans and still under $3 per.

Good thing they put out 12 lots of 50 cals....

    Very likely.

    Look what Sportsman's Guide is charging - $8 for .30cal and $12 for .50cal!

we haven't been outbid on our 30's yet, and there are roughly 5 lots of those....

Our 30's are now the highest priced lot, I'm actually hoping we get outbid so I can switch to a lower priced batch.

We are still in the running for all the lots and well under our price guidelines.

Auction ends at 1700!!! APril 16th

Still holdng on the 30's. Lots of room to switch to cheaper cans.

Outbid on the 50's, switched to lower priced lots.

We are now running out of 50 cal lots....

What has always worked well for me is to wait until the and of the auction to bid. Sometimes when you start the bidding early people get into battles and end up paying more than they would have if they though they had it in the bag. Hop in there at the last minute and steal it out from under their noses.

got outbidded on the 30's, switched to a cheaper lot.

still two cheap 50's out there for backup.

Gov Liquidation uses the 15 minute rule to limit sniping....

Yeah because I believe Ft Meade even has ammo cans. Either way if you have to pick up 2 lots instead of one it broadens the search and hopefully gets you away from whomever is running those auctions up.

If the auction ended at 1700 a couple days ago ... Did I miss an update? Did we win?
