Don't forget the EPA is shutting down the only lead mining / smelting operation in the states as well. Trust but verify? nope, don't trust. pablopac

That did not supply to the bullet makers anyway.

So please straighten your tin hat/

But it turns out, ATF has been working on a ban of AR-15 "green-tip" ammunition for quite some time and has already issued the ban in its new, 2014 Regulation Guide. For reference, ATF Regulation Guides come out approximately every ten years.

From the article ... and from my own personal hardcopy of the 2005 Regs that the ATF rep at the 2007 Annapolis Armory Gun Show was joyfully handing out to any and all takers ... pre-Obama White House, mind you. :innocent0.

When you take a look at the 2005 ATF Regulation Guide, you'll see an exemption for AR-15 "green-tip" ammunition, which means it exempted from the definition of "armor piercing" and therefore is legal on the federal level.

So this begs the question ... Who's driving Obama's bus ?

That's not tin hat, tin hat would be the ATF getting direction to allow the sig-brace and play dumb so that AR pistols suddenly swell in numbers....giving them justification to say they're in common use, and justification then to ban 855...plus they just went back on the brace and banned shouldering it again to shut that down now that there are sufficient numbers of AR pistols. Thinking they supplied bullet makers is just being misinformed.

In other words, someone's dog ate their homework. This is telling of how stupid they must think we are. To believe that this 30 year old exemption was accidentally and coincidentally omitted from the list within months of the ban attempt strains credulity.

The vast majority of the people in this country desperately want to believe that those who run our country really do have our best interests at heart.

Honesty, Integrity, Fair Play, Being Above Board, and a Gentleman's Handshake have been ingrained in us as Americans over the past two and a half centuries.

It's why many of us still take the time to pay attention and vote for our party.

It's why many of us still write letters to our legislators.

It's why many of us still make phone calls to our legislators.

As the years tick by, it's becoming more and more clear that this is just wishful thinking and Unicorn dust.

In time, if not now, we will have a dictatorial style government because more and more people will simply throw their hands up and no longer engage in the process that ensured checks and balances. The circle of perpetual complacency.

Just my take on things as of late.

I searched and did not find anything.

    Thanks.

Won't work without a log in name and password. How about a summary or the specific posts.

Oops, sorry. I forgot it was in the Off Topic Forum (restricted). Here's the first post in the thread:
    Convention-of-the-States.png

Just heard about it, and it's about time. Senator Tom Coburn is spearheading this. Several measures are actually being put forth in Legislatures of several States (right now !!!), with more to follow. Exciting times!

    Convention of States Project
    February 27 at 10:15am ·

    Purpose:
The Convention of States (COS) Project was founded by Citizens for Self Governance for the purpose of stopping the runaway power of the federal government. We believe Washington, D.C., is broken and will not fix itself. The federal government is spending this country into the ground, seizing power from the states and taking liberty from the people.
We have a solution that is as big as the problem.

    Goal:
The COS Project seeks to urge and empower state legislators to call a convention of states. The delegates at such a convention would have the power to propose amendments to the Constitution that would curb the abuses of the federal government. Article V of the Constitution gives them this power; the COS Project will give them an avenue through which they can use it.

    Plan:

    COS’s plan is twofold

    1. We want to call a convention for a particular subject rather than a particular amendment. Instead of calling a convention for a balanced budget amendment (though we are entirely supportive of such an amendment), we want to call a convention for the following purpose: Limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government.

    2. We believe the grassroots is the key to calling a successful convention. We would like to build a political operation in a minimum of 40 states, getting 100 people to volunteer in at least 75% of the state legislative districts. Only through the support of the American people will this project have a chance to succeed.

The lastest news in the 51st Post: THIS IS FOR REAL !!!

    An E-mail I received .... Man I am behind! 29 States???
Your are receiving this email because you have asked us to keep you updated on the Convention of States Project.

We are also excited to report that we have now filed the Convention of States application in 29 states!
This would not have been possible without you! Your calls to your state legislators, and your petition signatures, have brought these state filings to fruition!

Please forward this email to ten friends today, to invite them to join in our success.

We also have reached almost all legislative districts (97%+) with petition signatures, because of you! Let’s hit 100% together!!

We also surpassed a reach of 2 million on Facebook, thanks to you!

Additionally, Former US Senator Tom Coburn, Senior Advisor to the Convention of States, was on Fox News, Greta on the Record on Tuesday evening!

Greta asked Tom about waste and fraud in DC, and Coburn offers a solution as big as the problem, “Our Founders, in their wisdom, gave us a Constitutional way to address this, and that is what I am working on now, an Article V Convention of States. It’s not a Constitutional Convention, it’s a Convention of States where we come together and realign what was the intended to be, the relationship between the states and the federal government. So, we will limit the scope and jurisdiction of the federal government.”

We can limit the scope and jurisdiction of the federal government!!

Volunteer to be kept abreast of when you are needed to call or write your state legislator:

Forward this email to your entire list today.

    Together we stand…

    For America,
    Mark Meckler, President COSAction

He's calling for Constitution convention.

Roll your eyes all you want. And lets be accurate. It's NOT a Constitutional Convention. It's a Convention of States under Article V of the Constitution. Congress has absolutely no say in this. Period.

The feds only have to threaten to cut off money to the states who would join this convention to scare them back in line. Especially maryland with their heavy dependence on federal funds.

It is hilarious watching some people spout.

In one thread, they go on and on about how the Federal gov and Fed employees are incompetent, and cannot do anything thing right, when the actually do anything.

Then in another thread, what could be a mistake is suddenly a nefarious plot to do something underhanded.

And do you all actually believe that the government can do ANYTHING without word getting out? That there are not people working for BATF that are shooters and would blow the whistle on something like this?

I used to shoot USPSA with a guy in the 90s who always wore a "Ban the ATF" hat (complete with mock bullet holes) at matches. Newbies would come up to him and comment that wearing such a hat was not the best idea. He always told them that iw went well with "This" as he swept back his overshirt and showed his BATF badge. :)
