Number of active W&C/HQL as of June 30, 2017

I just received a reply from my most recent PIA from the MSP with the following information [If there is anything specific you all want, let me know, and I will see if I can include it in a PIA; I do them on a monthly basis]:

Number of active Wear and Carry Permits (W&C) as of 06/30/2017: 18,805. This is an increase of 184 permits from last month.

Number of active Maryland Handgun Qualification Licenses (HQL) as of 07/14/2017: 80,239. This is an increase of 1,735 from last month.

Other data received from PIA:
MSP Form 29-04: worksheet used by investigators during the process of W&C application;
S.O.P 29-13-001: standard operating procedures for investigations and reports for W&C;
Handgun Permit Review Board statistics

Well a majority of them were for police officers before LEOSA, so that number is slightly inflated.

They joined MSI, participated on Maryland Shooters, and thoroughly researched the requirements prior to applying.

A successful application can typically be prepared after attending one or two Handgun Permit Review Board meetings or simply reviewing the audio.

Can you post the actual documents you got in response? Please feel free to redact and personal info. IN particular, I would love to see the number of HQL issued by year, along with the running total. This could be useful in our HQL suit.

Any demographic info on HQL holders, to show discriminatory effect?
Race
Sex
Residence locality
Income range (I know, but imagine how helpful it could be for lawsuit)

--compared to demographics of handgun purchasers/owners in states that don't have HQL infringement.
