We use those targets for our 22LR Bullseye league on Thursday night at On Target. BTW, Bullseye is conventional pistol NRA sport, and our league is NRA sanctioned, which means that you can obtain a NRA pistol classification of marksman, sharpshooter, expert, master, or highmaster depending upon your score after you fire 360 rounds.

So in other words, start with B-16 (accuracy) and work into B-8 (speed).

2 different skills. IMO it is best to practice both, but start with a B-16 to improve sight alignment, and look for problems with hold and trigger control. It also helps shooting at longer ranges (50ft+). Once you can hit most all of your shots in the black at 20 feet, then try to use the B-8 to rapid fire 2 or 3 shots at a time. If the group is too small (all in 10 and X ring, speed up. If your shots are flying outside of the 8 ring, slow down a little, with this target your group should be spread out across the black, as you can gradually learn to put up the same group faster. I usually switch back and forth between the two several times, and try a variety of 2 hand-strong hand-weak hand drills with mag changes and jam clearing thrown in. THis is consitent with most of the training I have had, and has really helped me get proficient with my carry pistols in a fairly short ammount of time.
