Girlfriend decided to pick up a cheap gun/starter kit from cabela's and we're ordering it next week. Now we need to figure out where we can shoot it. Swung by On-Target by Ft. Meade and they no longer allow them since someone managed to start a fire >.<

And while I'm at it, any clue where to shoot a shotgun around the Annapolis/Baltimore area?

    AA county
There's AAFG which is about the closest range to Annapolis, 12th precinct, a little further is BRGC in Bowie. For the shotgun I believe AAFG has open to the public trap days and the PG county trap and skeet range in Greenbelt.

I do believe it is legal to shoot on your private property or on the private property of another person with written permission in AA co. Just make sure you have the permission of anyone who owns a structure within 100 yards of where you are going to shoot.

Continental up in Timonium...the conversation went like this:

    Me: Quick question for ya.
    Dude: Shoot.
(haha already like this place I <3 puns)
Me: Can you shoot cap and ball pistols there?
Dude: As long as it's under 2k FPS.
(Do they make BP pistols capable of >2k FPS? holy crap that'd be rediculous)

Oh and you can shoot shotguns with 00 or 000 shot.

yeah...I forgot that you can shoot BP there. Back a million years ago when we were doing THR shoots, we had one there and a guy was shooting a BP revolver.
