    Want to Cowboy Action Shooting?
Saturday morning at AAF&G outside of Annapolis.

    Howdy Partners

This month's match has a little extra opportunity for people who haven't tried cowboy action shooting to try out a match with supplied single action revolvers (2), lever action rifle and shotguns (2). Just bring your eye and ears protection.

Ammo will be available at cost, 100 rounds of .22 Rimfire long rifle and 25 rounds of either 20 or 12 gauge shotgun shells, all for around $22 to $23. There will be 5 courses of fire with 3 to 5 steel targets for pistol and the same for rifle and about 4 steel targets for shotgun. If you have your own single action revolver(s), rifle; both being 22 long rifle and a shotgun, you can bring any of those. Shotgun ammo has to be either 9, 8 or 71/2 size lead shot target type and velocity of around 1200 fps.

If you have any questions please ask. If you have other caliber single action centerfire revolvers or rifles the ammo has to be pure lead with low velocity pistol loads. For example 38 special, 45 colt Minimum is around 400 fps. No jacketed rounds are allowed. The single.action shooting Society, SASSNET.COM, has a free downloadable rule book which lists the allowed pistol calibers allowed and prohibited calibers. Yes, NO 30-30 for example. If you have questions please ask by return email.

Shooting will be from the table, so you don't need to bring holsters.

Firearms must be brought in cased and unloaded in either pouches or gun cases and at the direction of the safety officer moved to the loading table and uncased. Experienced IDPA or USPSA shooters may use their gun carts. The usual cowboy shooters may use their gun carts. Those who have shot cowboy action at AAFG or elsewhere may bring their usual assortment of firearms:and ammo.

If you know someone interested in cowboy action shooting please forward this email to them. We do have a limited number of spots, usually 10. If more show up then any shooting after 1 PM is limited to 22 longrife Rimfire only revolvers and rifles and shotguns can't be used. Just as much fun.
Those who use PractiScore can sign up there, just search for AAFG.
Those who are not familiar with PractiScore can just respond to this email with their name, email and phone number.
The phone number will only be used if there are last minute changes. Those under 21 must have an adult present.
If you cannot make it please advise thru PractiScore.
