Anybody know of a reliable notary public in charles county? I went to UPS in waldorf and they are never there, and I called some other places and they went out of business. Just want to get my DC sent out so I can buy some firearms.

Wells Fargo bank on route 5 where the new Safeway is did my last notary for me. I have an account with Wells Fargo but he never asked for any sort of proof of membership, I just walked in and he took care of it for me all for free. Really nice guy. My credit union that I've been a member of for over 30 years charged me $3.00 to do a notary for me last year. I'm thinking rip off.

If you walk into any bank, there's a 50/50 chance that they have a notary on staff who will happily notarize your papers, "gratis." I think they can charge you a few bucks, by law, but my local bank notaries never bother. Of course, you might be asked whether you know about their great new low, low, loan rates or checking accounts ...

My experience at banks and CU's is that they mostly notarize for customers only. I'm sure it's easy to get something notarized if you are in SoMD during the day, but we commute into DC.

Enter Tags2Go in Ft. Washington. On Livingston just south of Winegardner Chevy. 4 bucks for 2 DC affidavits. In and out in 3 minutes.

Oh, and we got title and tags for the new car there too. You pay a fee, but it's worth it not to have to go to the United Nat...er..DMV.
