No HQL currently but going to get one

I'm looking to purchase another pistol on a good buy but... no HQL yet. Would it be a mistake making the buy now to get thing rolling? I can get all the stuff done for the HQL next week which should more than likely beat it's delivery to the FFL.

I would go ahead and buy it, but don't expect the HQL a to get to you before the firearm gets to the FFL. You'll get the prints and the app filled out quick enough, but it will be like watching paint dry waiting for the card.

Hql can take 30 days. As long as your ffl is aware and ok that it may be there for that amount of time. I dont see a problem (that is the only issue I can think of). I am guessing a good price that will go away in that time? I just got my hql and it was getting close to 30 days.

If it's a sale price that won't be honored next month, then make the purchase. Just recognize you won't be able to start the paperwork and 7 day wait until you take your HQL back to the shop.

I still need to see what can be done on the magazine. Whether they can ship to to my brother who needs one in another State or ship it with a 10 rounder.
