Perfectly executed Bambi’s mom execution on a new arrow setup. Triax at 70 pounds shooting total arrow weight 650 grains with 200 grain samurai at the end. Flies like darts to 60 yards. First deer i’ve used these new arrows/heads on. Arrow was sticking out of the ground as they do coated in blood. Deer did a mule kick and piled up at 40 yards. Only blood was where it flopped. You can see the entrance. Hole in the heart and what should be the exit. Broadhead was scary sharp. Could it just have been luck? Leg placement and the way it kicked? What in the world is going on?

Pic w the hole in body cavity is where the arrow should have blown a hole in the hide.

That’s one seriously sharp broadhead to hide the exit wound like that. I’d keep using them. Good shot too!

This was probably the best and most thoroughly self-answering questions that I've seen on the forum to date. Kudos and good shot.

35 yards. Had been shooting tooth of the arrow 4 blades for last few years down to 2 after end of last season w 1 that broke off - got the deer, lost the head and another where the head actually chipped hitting shoulder. Wanted to try the ranch fairy thing out. Seems to work. Hope to draw an elk tag to try it on a larger cervid sometime before im 70.

how quickly did it go those 40 yards? Even on my perfect shot deer it takes a little while for the blood to really start flowing. I’m using Iron will s125 crazy sharp.

it was pretty fast. Here is the low res shot at the moment the arrow passed through from one of my trail cams. The flying deer on the left is the one i took.
