if I understand 281 correctly: besides inheritance, you can only possess a banned assault rifle after 01 Oct. if you legally possessed it before 01 Oct.--PERIOD. Is that right?
1 Does this apply to a trust? Wouldn't the NFA trust have to possess the weapon before 01 Oct.?

2 Could individuals added to the trust after 01 Oct. possess weapons owned by the trust considering these new individuals did not legally possess the weapons before 01 Oct.? This is gettin pretty deep.

3 Could I transfer my weapons to my trust after 01 Oct.?

NFA trust is a new word to me. Could someone point me to the "NFA trust for dummies"?

Check out the NFA forum here

There's a good sticky on it here that's in the forum.

You can also talk to a lawyer that deals with NFA trusts. Here's one that is an IP and has helped the MDS crowd quite a bit here
