After what felt like an eternity trying to piece this frankinbuild together, it’s finally done. Okay, ALMOST done. Completely done after a hopefully quick trip to paint :D

Bumping this thread because I just went shooting for the first time in months. I took these babies out and it felt so good to shoot again. The only downside was limiting myself to a few hundred rounds per rifle. :mad54:

The way the light plays on the AK is amazing. Beautiful gun.

Unfortunately, this is back in pistol form while I'm stationed in MD. Once we leave, I will return her to her previous glory!

    River02, very nice!
    Thank you...long time coming
    Gorgeous.
Yes---isn't she though. A sure cure for ED---
That's sweet as hell R! Can't wait to see what's next...
TY sir - Next Up is Mrs. River's AR Pistol-- another one that's been on the shelf too long. We've got a Stag Arrms lower to build out. We have all the lower parts, a Geissele complete upper-- LAW tactical folder, and a Trijicon MRO for the optic. And...after she shot the suppressed DD at the range today--- well let's just say it's time to find a kiosk and try out the new e-form 4 process.

YES! A can on an AR, esp < 16" barrel GREATLY improves the shooting experience. I have an 11.5" SBR with a brake, and if I shoot it without the can, I get the hairy eyeball on my left and right at the range. That thing is LOUD!!

Oh - one more thing. Some of the best advice I ever got for suppressed SBR AR's (or pistol) on this forum; get a tuned gas tube from Black River Tactical. They make them based on barrel length and whether of not you're shooting suppressed or mixed. Great for an SBR that will probably be over gassed since the gas tubes are generally made for a 16" carbine not suppressed. Less gas means less port bark as well.
