    My new 11.5 BCM

Built this as a spare for my Vickers class next month. I stayed away from keymod as long as I could, but the more I handle this gun, the more I like it. Super light gun.

Is that the lite weight BCM upper? I got one a few months ago to build an SBR but I'm thinking I may need a regular weight barrel. Let us know how it works out for you.

Ooooh yay, I can finally contribute.

    Here's my first SBR.
    Specs:
    .300 BLK
    Palmetto lower.
Palmetto LPK with ALG QMS trigger.
Palmetto "premium" BCG with carpenter 158 bolt, HPT, MPI, etc etc.
    BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 grip.
    BCM Gunfighter charging handle.
BCM intermediate 8 position A5 buffer tube, spring, and buffer.
Magpul ACS-L stock with .70" extended buttpad.
Palmetto pre-assembled upper with 8.5" nitrided barrel and A2 flash hider and pistol length gas.
    Midwest Industries SSG2 handguard.

It's temporarily wearing a Bushnell TRS-32 optic. I may end up putting the Aimpoint PRO that I have on one of my rifles on here. I've also thought of a Vortex Sparc II. We'll see.

All in all I am quite happy. I do wish that I could have put a BCM Gunfighter stock on it, as they're much lighter, but until the MSP change their interpretation of the 29" rule, this is what I'm stuck with. :)

I especially like that SSG2 handguard. Well done!

    Thanks, Fred.

I've become a fan also. I bought it because it was on the pre-assembled upper that Palmetto had on a really good sale a while back. I would buy another one, though, and when I do a 5.56 upper for this I'll likely use one. They are very lightweight and low profile, but still very, very solid and sturdy.

That A2 muzzle device is also temporary. I'm waiting on a Form 3 (and then a Form 4, sigh...) for a Rugged Surge 7.62 that will live mostly on this rifle, and when that comes in the Rugged 3 prong flash hider will live on here.

    Well done Hawkeye.
    It looks great.
Godspeed on your form 3. I'm still waiting from the middle of January.

Thanks man. Mine is with the shop / guy we discussed a while back.

I've also got a Form 4 for an Octane 9 that went in at the beginning of January, so I can run that on this rifle with subsonics for a while to scratch the suppressed itch if I want.

Once I finally get it, I mean.

    Hi Ty,

If it is not too much trouble, please could you post another photo of your PCR and TiRant. I know there is a less good quality one but I was hoping for a better photo of this set up.

    Thanks.
