Been meaning to post my new 300 blackout (AAC 9" MPW) with the 762-SDN-6. While not the best background, I managed to not include a few toes in the pic.

OK, I'll play since this is such a nice conversion, HK 94 to MP5 configuration, all HK parts.

    Finally!!!

I'm able to join in, got the stamp approved and picked up my Gemtech from the guys at Baltimore's Best Pawn. I picked it up yesterday and was going to call out sick today at work :innocent0 to hit the range and then my wife reminded me I was "sick" last Friday, damn!!!

Any tips for the first time trip to the range with a suppressor?

For any new suppressor *OR* host I...

    1) MAKE SURE FIREARM IS UNLOADED
    2) repeat step 1
    3) repeat step 2
    4) open the breach (lock slide back in the case of your pistol)
    5) Look down the barrel from the muzzle end (this is where steps 1-3 are VERY important)

    What you are looking for:
    A) Hold it somewhat out near arms length.
    B) Center your line of sight so that you are looking EXACTLY down the center of the BARREL. Center the breech and muzzle in your sight picture. It usually helps to put your finger or a pc of white paper behind the breach so you are looking at a blank 'background'.
    C) Now, is the dark 'ring' that are the internals of the suppressor concentric to your barrel bore? Basically you are looking for 3 concentric circles (breach, muzzle, suppressor endcap).

If you have a bad thread adapter or barrel threading you will VERY quickly be able to see that something is crooked. I have had a bad MP5K adapter that would have ruined a suppressor had I not caught it. I repeat this test for ANY new barrel/adapter/suppressor combination.

Subsonic ammo is all I buy anymore;)

Or, try to find a smith who has a go-nogo bore gauge and check clearance.
